Project Overview:

Weatherproof Consulting was engaged to assist in identifying cause(s) of failures through the recently completed commercial refurbishment. As is typical on projects of this size, pre existing and improved, overlap and the burden of proof lies with “who touched it last”.

Key concerns:

The main concerns throughout in several locations was water ingress, consequential damage and the impact of trading to the commercial tenancies.

Project Objectives:

To locate the water ingress cause(s) and guide on a reasonable and suitable solution.

Design & Planning: To address the complex variables, our comprehensive planning included:

  • Review of the construction drawings, plans and scopes associated;

  • Conducting an internal audit including thermal and moisture mapping;

  • Performing the reasonable and applicable forensic analysis to determine the cause(s) of failure(s);

  • Provide guidance on a suitable repair methodology.
